What you will be working on with us

The Contact Centre is part of the Communications Department at the Swedish Gambling Authority (Spelinspektionen).

Here, you will handle incoming calls and emails, analyzing and answering questions. You will resolve issues of both simple and complex nature in a fast, engaged, and pedagogical manner. You will be part of a team that enjoys providing service and addressing both internal and external inquiries. In the longer term, you may also be responsible for processing and administering cases within the operational activities as needed.

The role involves being the outward contact point by answering both by phone and in writing via email, as well as internally by providing feedback to the operations. The position also includes administrative tasks, such as releasing public documents, managing systems, cataloging questions, and maintaining ongoing contact with operational units.

With the support of a knowledge base, you will assist those contacting the Swedish Gambling Authority. You will handle many cases independently, while others will be resolved in collaboration with colleagues in the Contact Centre or with expert specialists.

The Contact Centre is continuously developing digital working methods and will be testing new AI-based support tools this autumn.

Your background and qualifications

We are looking for you who have a university degree. You have at least three years of experience in administrative tasks and are proficient in providing service via phone and email, for example from work in a contact center or similar. You are knowledgeable and interested in technology-driven development. It is also an advantage if you have knowledge of the Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act. You have good skills in Swedish and English. Experience in processing cases within public administration is meritorious.

You are self-assured, non-hierarchical, and find it easy to collaborate with colleagues from different backgrounds and with varying competencies. You are calm, attentive, and accommodating in your interactions, expressing yourself simply, clearly, and pedagogically in both speech and writing. You pick up new information easily, are accustomed to digital working methods, and work meticulously and efficiently.

Practical information

The position is a permanent employment with a six-month probation period. Start date as soon as possible or by agreement.

Therefore, the Swedish Gambling Authority has an important mission to ensure that the Swedish gaming market is legal, reliable, and safe. We monitor that the gaming companies we have licensed take responsibility for the players and the games they offer. We only grant licenses to gaming companies that meet the requirements, and we work to keep unlicensed gaming companies away from the Swedish market.
