Division for Public Administration
Are you a legally trained assessor with a strong interest in societal affairs, eager to work on current issues and tasks that may vary rapidly based on events in Sweden or abroad? Do you want to handle legal matters in a political environment where your mission is to support the Government in its work, providing legal expertise?
Your workday. Sweden's tomorrow.
The Unit for Public Procurement is responsible for three areas: public procurement, gaming regulation, and state real estate management.
Working with legislation within the unit's areas of responsibility means you are situated in a legal landscape that is complex, socially relevant, and constantly changing. Here, you have the opportunity to work on issues close to societal development that often attract significant interest, both nationally and internationally. In this role, you contribute to adapting legislation within the unit's areas of responsibility to new societal challenges, such as the need for increased preparedness.
Within the EU, work is underway to review the rules on public procurement to meet future challenges and simplify processes. Gaming regulation has many touchpoints with other legal and substantive areas, such as criminal law, money laundering, consumer law, privacy protection, corporate governance, public health, and tax law. Legislative work within state real estate management, for example, may involve removing obstacles to the growth of the total defense.
The work primarily consists of driving legislative cases, conducting legal investigations, reviewing products from other units and ministries based on the unit's areas of responsibility, preparing materials for political leadership, and drafting proposals for Government decisions. You will work closely with and support the political leadership. The work requires you to quickly familiarize yourself with new issues and contexts.
In this role, you work independently but in close collaboration with legal experts and other colleagues in the unit and within other parts of the Government Offices. The work also involves contact with authorities, civil society, and international actors. We also work closely with other units in the Division for Public Administration, and you are expected to contribute to our collaborations. Travel abroad may occur as part of the duties.

Your Skills
You are a communicative, analytical, and quality-conscious person who works independently. You enjoy solving problems and are skilled at collaborating with different types of people both internally and externally.
Everyone working at the Government Offices needs to have a holistic view and collaborate for the benefit of the operations. You are expected to contribute your perspective and competence as well as be open to others. You will bring ideas and new approaches to improve and develop the operations and your own competence. You are results-oriented in your actions and adapt when needs and directions change.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
