Do you want to help shape the future digital learning environments in Gothenburg City's municipal schools? We are looking for two development managers who want to make a difference for students and employees by developing modern, accessible, and reliable digital solutions.

As a development manager, you work strategically and operationally at the intersection of operations and technology. You drive development, coordination, and follow-up, translating operational needs into sustainable digital solutions. Together with school leaders, educators, the city's IT functions, and external suppliers, you create the conditions for a well-functioning digital school environment that strengthens teaching, learning, and equity.

Here, you will become part of the Administrative Support and Service unit, which leads, develops, and coordinates work with administrative processes, operational systems, and digital tools. The unit consists of administrators, system administrators, and development managers who work together to create good conditions for the schools' operations.

Responsibilities

In this role, you work with developing and coordinating the municipality's digital learning environments, which includes student computers, AV technology in classrooms, digital platforms, and long-term development of the schools' technical prerequisites.

You drive development initiatives from needs analysis and planning to implementation, follow-up, and further development.

You will among other things:

• be responsible for specifying requirements, procurement, and follow-up of digital tools and technical solutions
• represent the operational needs in dialogue with the city's IT function, suppliers, and other collaboration partners
• coordinate lifecycle management of digital equipment and promote sustainable and cost-effective working methods
• develop and manage the school's digital platforms, with a particular focus on Google Workspace for Education
• provide operationally close support in matters concerning digital tools and services
• participate in the planning of technical learning environments and AV solutions during new construction and renovation of schools
• represent the administration in city-wide forums, networks, and collaboration groups

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

• A university degree in pedagogy, IT, or another area that the employer deems relevant
• Experience working within or close to the school system, as well as a good understanding of the need for digital tools in pedagogical operations
• Experience collaborating with suppliers or other external actors, for example, in requirement specification and follow-up
• Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing

It is meritorious if you have:

• Experience of public procurement (LOU)
• Education or further training in information and communication technology (ICT)
• Experience of lifecycle management of digital equipment in larger organizations
• Experience of leading projects or work groups
• Experience of Google Workspace for Education
• Experience of using AI-based tools for operational development, analysis, or efficiency

To succeed in the role, you are structured, proactive, and have a good ability to build trust-based collaborations. You can switch between the daily life of school operations and a strategic perspective, and translate ideas and needs into concrete results.

You work independently and take responsibility for planning, prioritizing, and following up on your work. At the same time, you enjoy collaborating with others and creating engagement around common goals. Since the role involves many contact surfaces, you are communicative, receptive, and skilled at building long-term relationships.

You have a solution-oriented approach and see opportunities in change. Through your commitment, you contribute to developing the operations in a sustainable and long-term way.

Interviews are preliminarily planned to begin from week 33.
