We are currently recruiting an experienced and development-driven Financial Specialist within Accounts Payable for an international company. This is a broad and business-close role for you who want to combine operational responsibility with strategic process work and development within finance.

This role suits you if you thrive in improvement-oriented work and are motivated by developing processes, streamlining working methods, and driving change in an international environment. You will become an important part of the finance organization and work closely with both the business operations and international contacts.

About the role

As a Financial Specialist in AP, you will have overall responsibility for the accounts payable process with a focus on quality, development, and efficiency. The role involves both operational work and clear process ownership, where you drive improvement initiatives within invoice-to-pay. You will be part of a larger team with varying roles and responsibilities within the finance department. You will work closely with the team and the business while also expected to contribute strategically regarding automation, structure, and future working methods.

Your main responsibilities:

• Ensure an efficient and high-quality AP flow
• Monitor and ensure approval workflows
• Manage and quality-assure invoice flows in Medius
• Work proactively with follow-up, analysis, and exception handling
• Drive development and efficiency improvements of AP processes
• Act as process owner within invoice-to-pay
• Identify opportunities within automation, AI, and robotics
• Act as support and knowledge carrier for the team

We are looking for you who

We are looking for you who have 3–5 years of experience within Accounts Payable and who thrive in a role where you can combine operational work with process development and improvement work. You are analytical, structured, and accustomed to taking responsibility in complex environments with many contact points.

To succeed in the role, you need to have strong self-drive, good system understanding, and an interest in how technology and automation can develop the finance function forward.

We see that you have:

• At least 3 years of experience within Accounts Payable / Accounts Payable
• Experience with Medius
• Good understanding of AP processes and invoice-to-pay
• Strong analytical skills and experience in reporting and follow-up
• Experience in process-oriented work and improvement initiatives
• Ability to work both operationally and strategically

It is an advantage if you have:

• Experience from international operations, preferably within shipping, industry, or similar complex environments
• Experience with automation, robotics, and AI-related initiatives within finance
• Experience with VAT

About the employment

This is a consultancy assignment with employment at OIO for 6 months. The intention is that this will transition into a permanent position provided that all parties are satisfied with the collaboration.

• Scope: Full-time, office hours
• Start: Immediately
• Location: Gothenburg, you are expected to be in the office every day between 09:00–16:00
• Salary: Fixed monthly salary
