The Future of Work and Learning
Do you want to lead a project that changes more than just a project?
AI is transforming the workplace at a rapid pace.
But the real challenge is not about the technology. It is about people's ability to learn new things, develop together, and create ways of working where technology strengthens – rather than replaces – the human connection.
At Folkuniversitetet, we believe that the future of work begins with the future of learning.
We are now looking for a Project and Change Manager who wants to lead one of our most strategic development initiatives. With support from the European Social Fund, we are driving a comprehensive development project over three years where over 330 employees will together develop their digital competence, strengthen their AI knowledge, and create new ways of working for the future.
This is not a side project. It is part of our long-term development. Therefore, we are not looking for a traditional project manager.
We are looking for a change manager who sees the project as a tool to develop people, operations, and culture. Someone who understands that the biggest results are not created through project plans and reports, but through people learning, collaborating, and changing the way they work together.
When the project ends, not only should activities be completed. New ways of working, new competence, and a stronger learning culture should become a natural part of Folkuniversitetet's operations.
Your Role
As Project and Change Manager, you are responsible for leading the project from start to finish. But your role is about much more than project management. You will become an important part of Folkuniversitetet's long-term development.
You will work closely with the management group, managers, and operations to ensure that the project's goals are implemented in practice and become a natural part of our daily lives. You create structure, drive change, and build engagement so that the project's results live on long after the project period has ended.
You will, among other things:
- lead the implementation of the project throughout the project period
- create structure, engagement, and momentum in the project organization
- coordinate the steering group, reference group, external education providers, and internal operations
- be responsible for the project's budget, follow-up, and reporting according to the European Social Fund's requirements
- support managers and operations in the implementation of new ways of working
- drive change management and create participation so that the project's results become an integrated part of regular operations
- ensure that the project's effects continue after the project period ends
- contribute to spreading the project's experiences regionally and nationally.
Who are you?
You enjoy complex assignments. You see connections where others see individual activities and are driven by creating real change together with others.
You have experience leading projects or development initiatives where people, culture, and operational development were at least as important as schedules and deliverables.
We believe you have:
- an academic degree
- several years of experience in qualified project management, change management, or operational development
- experience leading development work in complex organizations
- good familiarity with budgeting, follow-up, and reporting
- experience with ESF-funded projects or other public funding is an advantage
- very good communication skills, both verbal and written.
We place great emphasis on your personal qualities.
We believe you are
Kind. Yes, we use that word deliberately. We believe that the best results are created in environments where people feel trust, are listened to, and dare to think new thoughts. Therefore, we are looking for a person who meets others with respect, curiosity, and care.
You dare to make decisions, challenge established ways of working, and hold the course even when change feels uncomfortable. You create engagement by involving others and have the ability to make people want to contribute.
You combine structure with action, see the big picture, and get things done.
And perhaps most importantly:
You believe, just like we do, that the best results are created together with the operations – not for the operations.
Why Folkuniversitetet?
We are a non-profit organization where knowledge is used to create opportunities for people.
We believe that the future of work is built through lifelong learning, critical thinking, and the courage to develop together.
The project "The Future of Work and Learning" is not a temporary initiative. It is an important part of our long-term strategy to develop Folkuniversitetet as an organization and create even better conditions for our employees, our participants, and society at large.
Here, you will have the opportunity to lead a project that is meant to change an organization – not just be implemented.
If you believe that people develop best when they feel safe, challenged, and involved, then we believe you will thrive with us.
