Your role

The Finance Unit consists of eight employees who together are responsible for leading and developing the municipality's financial management. We also function as an internal service function within the financial area and are responsible for procurement and purchasing.

In the role of Controller, you will be a key support for managers and operations, primarily within healthcare and social care. Your work will involve steering, planning, budgeting, follow-up, and analysis. You will actively contribute to improvement and development initiatives, both within your own operations and at the Finance Unit.

By attending management group and committee meetings, you will also serve as a support to the politicians in the committee regarding financial matters.

The work also involves overall financial management at the central level, including examples such as final accounts, accounting, supplier invoices, and other common tasks within the Finance Unit.

We work in a team where collaboration is a given. This means that tasks may vary over time depending on needs and development within the organization.

Who you are

You have the ability to work both independently and in a group, and you see it as a given to work with development to achieve continuous improvements. You have strong analytical and pedagogical skills and can express yourself well both verbally and in writing. The role requires that you are meticulous and structured, as well as able to prioritize and complete your assignments. We also look for someone who contributes to maintaining a pleasant work climate. Personal qualities are given great weight.

Formal qualification requirements

• We are looking for you with a university degree in economics or another education that we assess as equivalent.
• You have good knowledge of the Office package, especially Excel, and are accustomed to working in business systems.
• The employment assumes that you have a B driver's license and digital identification via BankID.

• Experience from similar tasks within municipal or other public operations is meritorious.

Employment

Permanent position at 100% with start date by agreement. The employment may begin with a probationary period. The Controller position is currently located at the Finance Unit within the Municipal Executive Office, which is organized directly under the Municipal Board. The direct manager is the Finance Manager.
