The Role

As a Coordinator, you lead strategically important development work focusing on transition, change, and long-term competence supply. The assignment involves taking over ongoing development work and continuing to translate conclusions and recommendations from a joint employer-employee review into concrete working methods, processes, and development initiatives that strengthen the university's ability to meet changing needs. Further into the assignment, it may also become relevant to lead other development initiatives within the HR area.

The work is carried out in close collaboration with HR experts, lawyers, managers, business representatives, and employee organizations. The role involves both driving the work forward independently and implementing development work.

About the HR Unit

The position as Coordinator is placed within the Employer Section, which is one of three sections at the HR Unit. The section currently consists of 9 employees – competent case handlers, HR specialists, development leaders, and lawyers. The section's field of work covers several areas such as competence supply, labor law, agreements and terms, wage formation, transition, advisory counseling, and collective bargaining.

The joint mission of the HR Unit is to support the university's management, faculties, and departments in strengthening the university's attractiveness and ability to provide long-term competence supply by being a professional and coordinated operational support offering relevant services.

Responsibilities

As a Coordinator, you will primarily:

  • lead the work of translating conclusions and recommendations from the joint employer-employee review into concrete development initiatives
  • lead or coordinate working groups with representatives from operations, HR, legal, and employee organizations
  • develop and simplify working methods, processes, and administrative routines together with relevant experts, with a clear focus on the user
  • ensure anchoring, dialogue, and collaboration between different stakeholders where multiple perspectives need to be weighed together
  • follow up, analyze, and report results to management
  • participate in other related development assignments within the HR Unit's area of responsibility, where your competence in change management, coordination, and process development is utilized.

Employment

The employment is fixed-term for the period August 25, 2026, to July 31, 2027, with a scope of 100%, located at the HR Unit, Employer Section, University of Gothenburg, Gothenburg. Start date is subject to discussion.
