Are you a structured and experienced Program Controller looking to work 50% in Stockholm? Lernia is now seeking a meticulous and analytical person for a assignment with one of our clients. This role is ideal for you if you thrive on financial reporting, analysis, and contributing to the efficient management of programs and projects.

This is a part-time position at 50% located in Stockholm. The start date is in August, and the assignment is fixed-term with the possibility of extension or conversion to another form of employment depending on business needs.

About the Role

As a Program Controller, you will support program management with financial control, monitoring, and reporting. You will become a key figure in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to ensure the program achieves its goals within set boundaries.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Preparing and monitoring budgets and forecasts
• Monthly financial reporting to steering groups and management
• Reconciliations against projects and cost centers
• Analyzing cost drivers, variances, and proposing corrective actions
• Developing and improving reporting and control models
• Collaborating with project controllers, finance, and project organizations
• Participating in meetings and presentations to communicate financial status and recommendations

About You

Formal Qualifications

• Relevant higher education in economics or equivalent
• Several years of experience in controller or finance roles, preferably within program or project management
• Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Proficiency in financial systems and advanced Excel (e.g., pivot tables, formulas)
• Good communication skills in Swedish, both verbal and written

Preferred Qualifications

It is an advantage if you have experience with:

• Project or program management methodologies (e.g., MSP, PMP, or equivalent)
• ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar
• Financial modeling and automated reporting
• Working in cross-functional teams and change-driven environments

As a person, you are analytical, structured, and solution-oriented. You have good collaboration skills, can prioritize and work independently, and enjoy communicating financial insights to both finance professionals and non-financial stakeholders.
