About the role and responsibilitiesAs HR Director, you are responsible for leading and coordinating the organization's HR work and ensuring that the HR function continues to deliver professional and business-oriented support. You will play a central role in the management team and contribute to driving forward ongoing initiatives and development efforts during the period.
The role involves acting as a strategic partner to the Regional Director and providing support to both management and political decision-makers on overarching HR matters. You will operate within a complex organization with an important societal mandate, where healthcare, regional development, and services to residents are central business areas.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Leading and developing the HR function and ensuring efficient daily delivery
- Maintaining and further developing the region's HR strategy and prioritized initiatives
- Ensuring sustainable competence supply within the region's operations
- Supporting politics, managers, and leadership in organizational and change management work
- Contributing to stability, clarity, and direction during a transition period
We are looking for you who have a solid background in strategic HR work and are accustomed to leading in large and complex organizations.
- Academic degree in HR, law, economics, or other relevant education
- Several years of experience in qualified and strategic HR work at a management level
- Documented experience in leading and developing an HR function in a larger organization
- Good knowledge of Swedish labor law, collective agreements, and the Co-determination Act (MBL)
- Experience from the public sector, e.g., region or municipality
- Valid driver's license (Category B)
As a person, you are a secure and stable leader with high integrity. You easily grasp complex contexts and quickly build trust in dialogues with managers, employees, political representatives, and union partners. Furthermore, you are structured, solution-oriented, and capable of making well-founded decisions even in changing situations.
What we offerYou will be employed as a consultant by Jurek and work on assignment for our client. The assignment is full-time and runs from November 1, 2026, or earlier by agreement, until April 2027. The role offers the possibility of remote work up to 50%.
