The Swedish Armed Forces Cyber Defence is now looking for an Administrator, referred to within the agency as a Staff Assistant, for our operations in Stockholm. We are looking for you who want to work with driven colleagues and who want to develop in your professional role.

About the position

As an administrator, you work with varied tasks aimed at supporting the management and employees of the operations. You are an important part of creating, developing, and maintaining the administrative routines and other staff services of the operations.

You will handle several contact areas that are fundamental for the organization to be able to fulfill its mission. The role also involves administering incoming information and materials that you are responsible for handling and structuring.

The position of Administrator/Staff Assistant is varied. There are good opportunities for competence development within the domain and your area.

Your main tasks:

  • Support the management group and employees with primarily administrative tasks.
  • Create, develop, and maintain administrative routines.
  • Handle incoming information and correspondence, both internally and externally.
  • Contribute to the conditions for a pleasant workplace for you and your colleagues.
  • Handle and administer matters regarding economy, travel, purchases, and other staff services.

Qualifications

  • Completed upper secondary education (high school diploma).
  • At least two years of relevant work experience.
  • Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English.
  • High proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Experience in working with economic administration.

Meritorious

  • Upper secondary education or post-secondary education in a meritorious area, such as economics or administration.
  • Experience in similar tasks within the Swedish Armed Forces or another authority.
  • Completed Staff Assistant training.

Personal qualifications

You are inquisitive and actively seek information to deliver the best possible result. You need to be comfortable working with information subject to a high degree of security and confidentiality.

Work in other locations, as well as readiness and shift work, may occur.

Travel in the position may occur both nationally and internationally.

The form of employment is permanent, starting with a six-month probationary period if you are not already employed within the Swedish Armed Forces.

The location of the position is Stockholm.

Start date is by agreement.

Information about the recruiting unit

The Chief of Defence and the Director General are located at the Headquarters. The Headquarters has approximately 1,000 employees – both professional officers and civilian experts. As of 2023-01-01, the Headquarters consists of the Defence Staff, the Operations Command, the Military Intelligence and Security Service, as well as the Headquarters Staff Department and independent supervisory units. Employment with us implies placement in a security class. Swedish citizenship is usually required. A security investigation with register check will be conducted before employment according to Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act. Employment entails an obligation to be war-placed. The employment also includes an obligation to serve abroad. The meaning of this varies depending on the type of position. A CV and cover letter must be attached to the application for employment.
