Do you want to be the one who helps thousands of travelers when traffic does not go as planned?
The Information Control Centre is an important part of the traffic control organization at Stockholm Trams. We are responsible for disruption information and traffic information for Nockebybanan, Lidingöbanan, Spårväg City, Tvärbanan, and Saltsjöbanan.
Our mission is easy to describe but places high demands in practice: the right information must reach the right person at the right time.
About the role
As an Information Controller, you are the hub of communication when traffic does not run according to plan. You inform passengers via public address announcements, digital signs, the SL app, and sl.se, and maintain ongoing contact with, among others, SL Customer Service, other traffic operators, internal staff, the press office, and media.
The work requires that you can quickly absorb information, make accurate assessments, and formulate clear messages – both verbally and in writing.
The Information Control Centre is staffed between 6:00 AM and 10:25 PM every day of the year.
Responsibilities
As an Information Controller, you will among other things:
- inform passengers, SL Customer Service, our own staff, and other traffic contractors about deviations in traffic.
- make public address announcements and publish information in our digital information channels.
- work according to current regulations, instructions, and checklists.
- work in several technical systems simultaneously.
- order replacement traffic in consultation with the Traffic Controller.
- monitor and report faults in information systems.
- follow the traffic situation and alert the Traffic Controller to delays and deviations.
- administer and report incidents and deviations.
Who are you?

- communicative and express yourself very well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.
- stress-resistant and maintain your composure even when the pace is high.
- structured, detail-oriented, and solution-focused.
- attentive and have an easy time collaborating.
- responsible and good at prioritizing.
If you also have a great interest in public transport in the Stockholm region, it is a big plus.
Basic Requirements
We are looking for someone who:
- is at least 18 years old.
- has completed upper secondary education or equivalent.
- has good computer skills.
- expresses yourself very well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.
- can work the hours required by the operations.
- has good multitasking capacity and ability to prioritize.
Merits
It is an advantage if you:
- have worked with traffic or disruption information.
- have post-secondary education in information or communication.
- can express yourself well in English, both verbally and in writing.
