Description of the Support and Development Unit

The Support and Development Unit is one of two support units within the County Administrative Board of Västernorrland. Within the unit, the agency's support operations for registry and archives, premises and services, management support, GIS coordination, and internal security are located.

One of our colleagues will be on leave for six months to try out a different job, and we are therefore looking for a temporary registrar for that period.

Your responsibilities

As a registrar with us, you work with document management, which includes mail handling, diary registration, and quality review in the case management system. You will also handle inquiries from the public and other authorities, as well as the release and confidentiality review of documents. As a specialist in your field, you provide support and service to the County Administrative Board's case handlers during the registration and completion of cases, and train employees in diary registration. The role of registrar also involves some document control, as the case handlers at the agency perform most tasks related to their own cases themselves.

You contribute together with your colleagues in the work group to a legally secure and efficient handling of the agency's documents.

Your qualifications

Requirements for this position:

  • Upper secondary education or equivalent.
  • Experience of administrative work within public operations.
  • Good knowledge of the principle of public access and the laws and regulations governing document management within public administration.
  • Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

It is meritorious for this position if you have:

  • Experience of case handling.
  • Supplementary education from, for example, paralegal or other education that we assess as equivalent.

You will have frequent contact with the various operations within the County Administrative Board, as well as with the public when releasing public documents. Therefore, it is important that you are service-oriented and have the ability to convey information and give advice in a clear manner. Since you will work in a team with other colleagues, it is important that you enjoy collaborating with others. To function well in this role, we see that you are also independent and structured.

War posting and possible security clearance

In the event of a permanent employment with us, you will be war-posted with us at the agency and thereby become an important part of the total defense. A war posting means that it is predetermined that you will continue to work with us at the County Administrative Board in the event of heightened readiness, but that tasks and working hours may be adapted. Depending on the position, you may also become part of our staff.

At the County Administrative Board, certain positions are classified for security. This may mean that a security clearance and register check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) is conducted before employment. Swedish citizenship is required for some positions.
