Job Responsibilities

In the role of Municipal Guide, you will receive, answer, and handle inquiries and cases from residents and other stakeholders. You will assist via phone, digitally, and during physical visits. Your tasks include:

  • Providing information, guidance, and support regarding municipal matters.
  • Helping residents use the municipality's e-services and digital systems.
  • Receiving and registering cases, and forwarding them to the relevant department if necessary.
  • Working on developing routines and improving service together with colleagues and other departments.
  • Performing various administrative tasks.

The work is varied and involves daily contact with several different operations within the municipality. You are expected to be an ambassador for good treatment and contribute to making the residents' journey through the municipality as simple as possible.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

  • A high school education.
  • Experience in customer service, preferably from the public sector or a contact center.
  • Experience in driving cases to completion with a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Good digital competence – you are accustomed to working in various systems and learn new things quickly.
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
  • The ability to communicate clearly, listen attentively, and focus on solutions.

A driver's license is desirable.

As a person, you are service-oriented, meticulous, flexible, and have an easy time collaborating. You are confident in taking independent responsibility but also thrive in team environments.

About the Operations

Ånge Municipality is embarking on an exciting development journey where accessibility and service are prioritized. In 2025, we opened a Contact Center – the municipality's new entry point. Here, residents, business owners, and visitors can turn for fast, professional, and personal assistance with their cases. The Contact Center has two core missions: to resolve citizens' cases directly upon first contact and to actively and enthusiastically drive the development of the operations. The goal is to help citizens access our services as quickly and easily as possible, while making the municipality more efficient.

As a Municipal Guide, you are key to creating a positive first impression of the municipality. You will be part of an engaged team working together to simplify daily life for our citizens, improve service quality, and contribute to the municipality's development. You will independently drive cases to completion and develop the operations through your engagement and drive.
