About the Foundations

SCA and Essity Foundations administer seven foundations – three staff foundations and four pension foundations. Through the Foundations, there is an opportunity to apply for scholarships and grants that can contribute to increased well-being in various ways. They manage and rent out holiday homes in Sweden and abroad.

Job Description

As an Accountant at the Foundations, you are responsible for all economic tasks, from ongoing bookkeeping and payments to closing accounts, annual reports, and tax returns. You work completely independently in this role and are responsible for ensuring correct and efficient financial management.

The assignment also includes preparing decision support materials and presentations for committee and board meetings, as well as compiling materials related to grants and scholarships. You work in Visma and handle, among other things, the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other finance-related processes. Excel is used continuously in the closing work.

Since the foundation office consists of a small team, you will have an important role in the operation. You are expected to contribute to the development and efficiency of routines, while also supporting colleagues in other areas if needed. The role offers great freedom and the opportunity to influence working methods and processes.

Who fits the assignment?

We are looking for someone who has:

• A university degree in economics with a focus on accounting.
• Several years of experience in qualified accounting work.
• Experience in independently preparing closing accounts, annual reports, and tax returns.
• Experience with accruals and annual closing.
• Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Good knowledge of Excel.

As a person, you are self-motivated, structured, and responsible. You thrive in an operation with order and discipline and enjoy developing and improving routines. You are unpretentious, team-oriented, and contribute to a positive work environment.

Meritorious Qualifications

• Experience with Visma.
• Experience creating presentation materials for management or the board.
• Knowledge of Power BI.
• Experience from smaller organizations where you have worked broadly within finance.
