About Us
The Finance and Planning Unit is responsible for the Swedish Customs Administration's financial reporting and accounts, payments, and EU own resources. The responsibilities also include reporting to the state accounting system. The unit is also responsible for preparing the Swedish Customs Administration's business plan, including the budget, the agency's annual report, and budget proposals. The unit is also to provide support to the organization within the areas of accounting, finance, and budgeting. Our task is also to continuously monitor the business plan and budget throughout the year.
In addition, the unit is responsible for the financial system UBW/Agresso. This responsibility includes setting up versions for budgeting, managing Planner, and troubleshooting the system when necessary.
The entire unit works continuously with development, both in daily operations and in planned major change projects.
The unit consists of 19 employees led by a Finance and Planning Manager.
Most of the unit's employees work in Stockholm, but we also have operations in Sundsvall, Gothenburg, and Malmö. The Finance and Planning Unit is part of the Administration Department.
About the Position
The Finance and Planning Unit aims to ensure the quality of financial reporting in an efficient manner. You will become an important part of this work, both in the ongoing reporting and as a participant in ongoing development projects. Your main tasks will be:
- Reconciliation of employer contributions and taxes, including tax declarations
- Conducting controls according to the established control plan
- Reporting in Hermes
- Support in accounting matters within the unit and within the organization
- Shared responsibility for preparing the annual accounts and monthly period reconciliations
- Participation in development work related to accounting, for example:
- Defining requirements for procurement and implementation of a new business system
- Conducting updates and answering questions regarding UBW/Agresso
However, the job description/tasks may change partially as we review the financial processes.
Are you the one we are looking for?
We are looking for someone who has:
- A Bachelor's degree in economics or other education that we consider equivalent
- At least 4 years of experience working with state accounting
- Experience working with state accounts
- Experienced user and system administrator of financial systems
- Experience interpreting and applying current legislation related to accounting
- Acts on own initiative and takes responsibility for achieving good results
- Swedish citizenship
It is meritorious if you have:
- Good knowledge of UBW/Agresso
- Good knowledge of Excel for, among other things, reconciliation work
- Experience in defining requirements, procuring, and implementing a new business system
- Experience in development work related to accounting
- Experience with the state accounting model
