The Employment Unit (AME) in Ljungby has decided to expand with 1 Work Supervisor/Coach. The target group is individuals receiving social assistance, and the goal is for each participant to become self-sufficient through work or studies.

About the Role

As a Work Supervisor/Coach, you are responsible for leading the practical work for a group of 10-15 participants. The role involves active physical work and serving as a role model in the various tasks of the operation. Duties include nature conservation, moving assignments, and other service tasks performed within the municipality's operations.

A central part of the assignment is to create safety, structure, and motivation for the participants through good treatment and clear communication. You contribute to ensuring that each individual receives guidance, support, and opportunities to develop in their tasks and roles. Currently, there are 3 Work Supervisors/Coaches and 4 Job Coordinators at AME, with whom you will collaborate closely regarding each individual participant in the goal of self-sufficiency.

Organizationally, the Employment Unit is located within the same section as social assistance.

Responsibilities

We are looking for someone who has an interest in working with people and thrives in a role where practical tasks are combined with supportive measures. The work takes place both indoors and outdoors, requiring flexibility and a willingness to take on varied tasks. Duties include park and green area maintenance, carpentry, building, performing simple repairs, and various service tasks.

  • You enjoy working with your hands and have a solution-oriented approach, seeing what needs to be done and taking initiative.
  • The work requires you to be a good role model and create structure.

Qualifications and Merits

  • Education: We prefer candidates with relevant education in social work or behavioral science, or other equivalent background. Experience in practical trades is also a plus. This is meritorious but not a requirement.
  • Practical Experience: It is meritorious if you have practical experience in park and green area maintenance, as these tasks occur in the operation.
  • Social Competence: Experience working with people in need of support, as well as the ability to motivate and create structure, is valuable. Good teamwork skills and social competence are prerequisites as the work often involves close collaboration with colleagues and participants.
  • Driver's License: Category B driver's license is a requirement. Extended license categories are meritorious.

Great importance is attached to personal suitability.
