We are looking for an engaged and relationship-building Activity Coordinator for the Municipality's Activity Responsibility (KAA). In this role, you work to motivate and support young people who are neither studying nor working, so that they can find paths forward towards education, employment, or other meaningful activities.

Job Description

As an Activity Coordinator, you are responsible for identifying, contacting, and following up with young people in the target group for the Municipality's Activity Responsibility. The target group for the municipalities' Activity Responsibility (KAA) includes young people who are registered as residents in the municipality, are 16–19 years old, and are neither working nor studying.

You build trusting relationships and collaborate with both internal and external actors to create individual solutions based on each young person's needs. Here, the KAA position is located within the Labor Market Unit in the Employment and Social Security Department, which also includes economic assistance, work training centers, and day activities.

Your Responsibilities

In your role as Activity Coordinator, you will among other things:

• Map, contact, and follow up with young people within KAA.
• Conduct motivational interviews and create individual action plans.
• Support young people in their transition to studies, work, or other interventions.
• Collaborate with schools, social services, the labor market unit, the Swedish Public Employment Service, and other relevant actors.
• Document and follow up on interventions according to current legislation and municipal procedures.
• Participate in the development of the municipality's work with KAA.

The work also includes preventive work, participation in various collaboration forums, other common tasks related to a labor market unit, and responsibility for holiday internships.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

• Have a university degree in fields such as behavioral sciences, social work, pedagogy, or other education/experience that the employer considers equivalent.
• Have good computer skills.
• Have good knowledge of Swedish, both orally and in writing.
• Hold a B driving license (manual transmission).

Merits

It is an advantage if you have:

• Experience working within municipal activity responsibility (KAA).
• Knowledge of the Education Act and other relevant regulations.
• Experience of collaboration between different authorities and operations.
• Labor market knowledge.
• Training in motivational interviewing (MI) or other relevant counseling methods.
