The field work unit belongs to the open care/support unit within the Social Services Administration (IFO), and the position is partly under the Education Administration.

The Support Unit includes field workers, family therapists, adult therapists, parent counselors, and administration.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a field worker, you work proactively and spend time in environments where young people gather (e.g., schools, youth centers, events, and public places) to establish contact.

• Field workers offer conversations for young people and act as a secure adult presence.
• Field workers work to detect and support young people showing signs of unfavorable development at an early stage, helping them access the right support.
• Field workers collaborate closely with schools, youth centers, the police, and parents.
• Field workers monitor trends, drug situations, and other phenomena in the youth environment, as well as ANDTS (Alcohol, Narcotics, Gambling, Tobacco, and Steroids).
• Field workers disseminate knowledge to young people, parents, professionals, and other municipal residents.
• The role includes implementing youth services and youth contracts.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a social pedagogue, behavioral scientist, or social worker, or have other education and experience that the employer considers equivalent.

• You have experience in preventive work, collaborating and cooperating with various actors with the young person in focus.
• Experience in conducting knowledge sessions in classroom settings.
• Experience in meeting children, young people, and their parents in individual conversations and in various collaboration forums.
• As a field worker, you are sensitive, structured, engaged, and interested in youth culture. You must be able to collaborate with several different actors and have conversations with children/young people and parents individually and in groups.
• You have a valid B driver's license.

Employment type: Permanent position.
Duration: Permanent, start date: 2026-08-31 or by agreement.
