We are currently looking for personal assistants for our client in Växjö. We are looking for both employees for permanent positions and casual staff who can work on an as-needed basis when regular assistants are absent, for example due to illness, vacation, or other leave. As a casual employee, it is important that you are flexible and have the opportunity to work with short notice when needs arise.

About you

We place great emphasis on personal qualities and suitability for the role in relation to matching with the client.

Advantageous if you have:

  • Experience working in care or personal assistance
  • Manual driver's license and access to your own car

What does a typical day look like?

As a personal assistant, you provide individually adapted support and accompany the client in daily life based on their needs and wishes. The tasks vary and can include everything from support at home to accompanying the client to activities, appointments, and various social gatherings.

Working hours vary and include day, evening, and night shifts on both weekdays and weekends.

The tasks include among other things:

  • Support with daily routines and household chores
  • Assistance with personal hygiene, dressing/undressing, and meals
  • Practical support in daily activities
  • Mobility assistance

Scope: Varying employment degrees 25-70%

Number of positions: 4 part-time positions. 4 casual staff on call

Start date: Interviews are conducted continuously, and the position may be filled before the application deadline.

Salary: We apply individual salary setting. Other benefits in accordance with collective agreements.

Things to consider before applying:

A prerequisite for starting employment at Olivia is that you, as an applicant, can present a valid ID document and submit a tax certificate (personbevis) as well as any documents proving the right to work in Sweden. You can easily download the tax certificate from the Swedish Tax Agency's website.

To work as a personal assistant with us, you must be at least 18 years old. The age requirement follows the regulations regarding personal assistance, escort services, and relief in the LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) and the Social Insurance Code.

To work with children and young people under 18, you must present a certificate of good conduct (extract from the criminal record). From March 1, 2026, new rules apply meaning that the register check will include both extracts from the criminal record and the suspicion register. The extracts are ordered via the Police Authority's e-service. Note that processing times may vary, so it is advisable to order well in advance.
