Torparbacken is a short-term residence for children and young people aged 5–18 with varying disabilities. Our mission is to provide these children and young people with a change of scenery and high-quality stimulation, while offering relief to their parents or guardians.
As a care assistant at Torparbacken, you support our children and young people in creating a meaningful daily life and leisure time. The work is based on a pedagogical and structured approach, involving close collaboration with your colleagues. The role also includes practical household tasks that are a natural part of daily life, such as cooking, cleaning, and laundry.
Torparbacken is a relatively newly established facility, resulting in many exciting processes and developments taking place at the workplace.

We are looking for you who have a relevant educational background and a genuine commitment to working with children and young people. To be considered for the position, you must have:
It is an advantage if you have education and/or experience working with Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC). We would also appreciate previous experience working with children and young people with disabilities.
A valid B-class driver's license is required for the position, as we have access to a bus used in daily operations.
You must have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as good computer skills, since documentation and other administrative tasks are part of the job.
As a person, you are communicative and receptive, with the ability to create security and build good relationships. You work independently, take initiative, and are flexible in your approach. You enjoy collaborating with others and actively contribute to a positive work environment.
To be eligible for employment, you must provide extracts from the Swedish Police Authority's criminal record register. Two specific extracts are required: Control of own information in the criminal record register/individual (442.3) and Children with disabilities.
