Elmeskolan is a grades F-6 school with approximately 180 students from the autumn term of 2026. We collaborate and share a building with the International School of Älmhult, located near the Hagabo residential area. We have three work teams at the school: the after-school center, grades F-3, and grades 4-6. The school's student health services work both preventively and remedially to promote students' goal achievement, well-being, and school attendance. Areas such as our social learning environment and life skills will be part of our development areas in the coming school year.

Job Description

As a school counselor, you are an important part of the school's student health services and are expected to work both preventively and remedially based on the students' needs. You work both independently and in teams; the student health team, the student support team, and together with the principal, teachers, and other staff.

Qualifications

• Social work degree (Social worker/Socionom).
• Experience as a school counselor is an advantage.
• You can express yourself correctly in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.
• You work in a holistic manner with a high degree of flexibility.
• You are tolerant and able to see things from different perspectives.
• You can work both independently and in teams, and you have good self-confidence while showing humility.

Employment type: Permanent position.
Duration: Start date: 2026-08-10.
