Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for a youth coach for outreach and preventive social work focusing on children and young people.
You will work with early and preventive interventions together with several colleagues. The interventions in the support team are directed towards children and young people, families, and individuals with substance abuse issues who are in need of support. By being flexible in our interventions, we create good conditions for an efficient and results-oriented operation.
The target group is primarily children and young people aged 13 to 21, but you will also work with parents and adults dealing with substance abuse and domestic violence. You will work in an outreach and preventive manner in the environments where young people spend their time, such as schools, youth centers, and in the community at large. You will also participate in various events occurring during the day, evening, and weekends. Part of the role also involves giving lectures and training when there is a need and demand. Close collaboration occurs with schools, leisure activities, and the police. Cross-municipal cooperation is necessary to achieve good efficiency.
We provide assistance according to the Social Services Act (SoL), the Care of Young Persons Act (LVU), and the Care of Abusers Act (LVM), as well as advice and support without a needs assessment. As a therapist, you enjoy working both individually and together with colleagues. The core operations consist of advisory, support, and treatment conversations with individuals, families, or groups. You will participate in meetings with cooperation partners as needed. In our operations, we also conduct various group activities for both children and adults.
Varying working hours during the day and evening, as well as weekends, as needed.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have a university degree such as nursing, occupational therapy, or social work, a social and behavioral science education, or other similar education. We would like you to have further education focusing on treatment work. This applies to both substance abuse/addiction and family therapy. Previous experience in psychosocial work directed towards the target groups is meritorious. We would also like you to have experience in similar job responsibilities.
You should be proactive, independent, and responsible. You must have the ability to establish contact with children and young people and maintain relationships over time. You must be able to express yourself well in speech and writing.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
A valid Category B driver's license is required.
Employment type: Permanent position.
Duration: Start date by agreement.
