Aspnässkolan is a preschool to year 6 school with approximately 275 students, located in the center of Jakobsberg with easy access to commuter trains and good public transport connections.

As a smaller unit, we have short decision-making paths and close collaboration between school leadership, staff, students, and guardians. Here, every student is everyone's responsibility.

Job Description

We are looking for you who are a certified primary school teacher with qualifications to teach years 4-6, with competence in Swedish and Social Sciences. You will work as a teaching teacher and, together with your year-level colleague, be responsible for mentorship in year 4.

You are responsible for the planning, implementation, and evaluation of teaching, mentorship, and contact with guardians.

You can work independently and have good social skills. You take responsibility and work with clear commitment to students' knowledge development and social development. You have a positive and professional attitude towards students, guardians, and colleagues. You have good leadership skills with a clear structure in your teaching, clear and high expectations for your students, and create good relationships.

For you, collaboration is important with the purpose of developing and being developed. You should have experience working with students in need of special support. You are independent, driven, flexible, solution-focused, and unpretentious. You have a good ability to create, maintain, and develop relationships through a low-affective approach.

The position is a temporary vacancy as the regular teacher is on sick leave.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

• Have a teaching license with qualifications in Swedish and Social Sciences.
• Have advanced knowledge in reading and writing acquisition.
• Have experience with grading.
• Work language-developing in all subjects.
• Have experience teaching Swedish as a second language.
• Have a conscious and professional attitude towards learning goals and knowledge assessment.
• Are skilled at adapting your teaching based on the group's needs.
• Build trusting relationships with both students and guardians.
• See collegial learning and collaboration with colleagues and student health services as a prerequisite for creating the best possible pedagogical conditions for students.
• Work actively to create a safe, inclusive, and structured learning environment characterized by high expectations and a calm working atmosphere.
• Master the Swedish language fluently in both speech and writing.
