Folkuniversitetet in Stockholm offers open adult education courses in languages. We are continuously developing our course offerings and are looking for someone experienced in language teaching who can work with adult education in a circle format, a few hours per week, primarily in the evenings.

For the upcoming spring term, we are seeking a circle leader in Vietnamese for both children and adults. The teaching will take place primarily in physical classrooms during evening hours.

Responsibilities

• Teaching, preparation, planning, and follow-up work. Participation in development work as agreed upon.
• Quality assurance by reviewing expectations before the course begins and conducting evaluations after the course concludes.
• Communication with participants between lessons, related to course content such as preparation or homework guidance.

Qualifications

As a circle leader at Folkuniversitetet, you should possess the following upon appointment:

• Good IT skills.
• Pedagogical understanding or relevant teaching experience.
• Subject matter expertise in Vietnamese or professional experience in the field.
• Experience with and a strong interest in adult pedagogy.

Your proficiency in Vietnamese should be equivalent to that of a native speaker. A relevant academic degree is preferred. Desirable personal qualities include the ability to work both independently and in a team, strong social skills, initiative, a positive attitude towards change and development, and an ethical approach to work.

Good knowledge of Swedish is required for this position.
