About Us

Runby School is located in western Upplands Väsby, with the forest as the nearest neighbor, surrounded by ski tracks, an outdoor gym, and an artificial turf field. The school has a sports and outdoor lifestyle profile and focuses on sustainable development in all subjects. Currently, the school has approximately 1,100 students, including students in adapted basic education and a municipal joint autism service. We are now looking for a Physical Education and Health teacher for grades 1–9.

Runby School is also a partner school to Uppsala University, which means the school hosts several student teachers during an academic year. Supporting these students is everyone's responsibility, even if you are not a VFU (Work Integrated Learning) supervisor.

About the Position

We are looking for an engaged and relationship-building Physical Education and Health teacher for a permanent full-time position.

The position includes teaching Physical Education and Health for students in grades 1–9. You are responsible for following up on students' knowledge development, attendance, and well-being, as well as maintaining regular contact with class teachers/mentors, guardians, and student health services. You will be part of one of the school's work teams.

You plan, implement, and follow up on teaching in accordance with the curriculum and other governing documents. You work both independently and together with colleagues in work teams and subject groups to create a safe, structured, and developmental learning environment for the students.

Are You the One We Are Looking For?

We are looking for you who have:

• Teacher certification with eligibility to teach Physical Education and Health for grades 1–9.
• Knowledge of working with students with various functional variations, as well as students in need of special support and adaptations in regular teaching.

It is an advantage if you have:

• Experience with Google Workspace or other school administrative systems, such as Meitner and DF Respons.
• Experience with mentoring and working with students' social and academic development.
• Knowledge of and experience with knowledge- and language-developing approaches.
• Experience in analyzing student results and using them as a basis for developing teaching.
