About the Position

As a special educator, you will play a key role in the school's student health team. You will work closely with students, teachers, and school leadership. As a special educator, you participate in the promoting and preventive work for students' development. You work consultatively with educators and other professions within the school, supervise staff, hold supportive conversations with students, and conduct assessments and investigations at the organizational, group, and individual levels together with the rest of the student health team.

As a special educator, you always keep the pedagogical mission in focus, and your work also includes conveying knowledge to guardians and employees within the school.

Your work involves close collaboration with class teachers, where you together find the best conditions for all students to succeed.

With regard to teachers, you will be a conversation partner and advisor in matters concerning students' language, writing, reading, and mathematical development. You are also up-to-date on compensatory aids and can use these in teaching.

The Assignment

The assignment includes, among other things:

• Participate in the student health team's work
• Hold conversations and support students in their development towards goals
• Conduct investigations, assessments, and draw up action plans in consultation with the Student Health Team (SHT) and mentors
• Participate in and lead class conferences
• Participate in external meetings with social services, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP), SIP meetings, etc.
• Actively support students and teachers in the classrooms
• Teach individual students or small groups
• Coordinate and lead study help/homework help together with resources
• Be responsible for students' pedagogical appendices/transfers from primary schools
• Write supplementary allowance applications and support school leadership organizationally in special educational work

Qualifications
We are looking for you who:

• Are educated as a special educator and primary school teacher and are passionate about motivating and inspiring students in their learning.
• Have strong relational competence and enjoy collaborating.
• Are flexible, solution-focused, and positive – even when it is challenging.
• Are accustomed to using digital learning tools and have good ICT knowledge.
• Express yourself clearly in speech and writing, and see communication as a key to success.

Employment Type, Scope, and Start Date

• Employment Type: Permanent
• Scope: Full-time
• Start Date: September 1, 2026, or by agreement

For this role, the starting salary is normally between 45,000–50,000 SEK depending on experience and competence.
