Our Operations

Ösbyskolan is a well-established F-9 school (preschool to grade 9) with approximately 700 students and 90 dedicated employees. Since our founding in 1996, we have built an operation that combines security and tradition with innovation and development. The school is centrally located in Gustavsberg, Värmdö Municipality, only 25 minutes from Slussen, with modern facilities and good transport connections.

Your Mission

We are looking for an engaged and skilled teacher in Spanish and English for teaching in grades 7–9. In this role, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on teaching in accordance with the curriculum and contributing to creating a secure, structured, and inspiring learning environment where all students are given the opportunity to develop.

You actively work to awaken students' interest in language and communication and develop teaching based on students' different prerequisites and needs. Through clear leadership and high expectations, you create good conditions for learning and study peace.

You will become an important part of the work team and collaborate closely with colleagues, student welfare, and school management to give students the best possible support and an equitable education.

We are looking for you who are a skilled pedagogue and a clear leader in the classroom. You build good relationships with students while creating structure, peace, and motivation for learning.

You put student development at the center and have high expectations of their ability to succeed. At the same time, you are a team player who sees the value of close collaboration with colleagues and other professions at the school.

Your Experience

We are looking for you who have:

• Teacher certification with eligibility to teach Spanish and English for grades 7–9.
• Experience of teaching in primary school.
• Good ability to create structure, study peace, and motivation in the classroom.
• Good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing.

It is meritorious if you have:

• Experience in mentorship.
• Experience working with language-developing approaches.
• Experience adapting teaching for students with different needs.
• Experience with digital learning tools and formative assessment.

The position is a permanent employment at 80% with start date as agreed. The position is a vacation relief position.
