About the operations

Bällstabergsskolan is a two-parallel F-9 school in southern Vallentuna, close to the Roslagsbanan railway. It is a safe and well-functioning school where both students and staff thrive. Students are given good conditions to develop both academically and socially. Our operations are characterized by dedicated and competent teachers, leisure center staff, and student health services who work together to ensure that every student reaches their full potential. The school has functional premises, and each division has its own cafeteria, creating a calm and pleasant environment.

At the leisure center, we offer a varied and meaningful activity with pedagogical activities that strengthen language and communication, creative creation, and understanding of nature, technology, and society.

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for an engaged childcare worker for the lower primary school and our leisure center. As a childcare worker, you are an important part of the students' entire school day and work together with teachers and colleagues to create a safe, educational, and stimulating environment where every child has the opportunity to develop based on their conditions.

During the school day, you support the students' learning and development in class. At the leisure center, you plan, implement, and develop a meaningful activity characterized by play, movement, creativity, and community. You contribute to a safe and inclusive learning environment where good relationships, clear routines, and a positive attitude are at the center.

The position includes responsibility for supporting a student with diabetes. If you have experience or knowledge of diabetes, we see this as meritorious. If you lack previous experience, it is important that you have the willingness and interest to learn, and you will receive the introduction and support needed for the assignment.

You will become part of an engaged work team where we value collaboration, collegial learning, and an open working climate. Together we develop the operations to create the best conditions for our students' learning, development, and well-being.

Qualifications

• Trained childcare worker or other education that the employer deems equivalent.
• Good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing.
• Good digital competence.
• Experience working in a leisure center is meritorious.
• Knowledge or experience of diabetes is meritorious.
• Experience working with students in need of special support, for example within NPF (Neurodevelopmental Disorders), is meritorious.
