Do you want to work closely with people and contribute to more individuals gaining access to secure and sustainable housing? We are now looking for a flexible housing and establishment support worker for a part-time hourly position of 2 days per week, working Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Your role

As a housing and establishment support worker, you help clients take steps towards a long-term housing solution. You guide them on how the housing market works, provide support in searching for housing and navigating different housing queues, and motivate and follow up on their development throughout the process.

You may also support clients in their establishment and integration into Swedish society. As needed, you accompany the client as support during various meetings related to the assignment.

You work both independently and together with housing coordinators, establishment support workers, and the social services' authority function to find solutions based on each client's individual prerequisites. An important part of the role is also to monitor the external environment and inventory the housing market to identify possible housing alternatives.

Documentation is an important and natural part of the work, and you are responsible for documenting your work in a legally secure and structured manner according to current legislation.

We also believe that you are proactive and solution-oriented. You drive processes forward, see opportunities where others see obstacles, and work purposefully even when the path to a solution is not obvious. You take responsibility for your tasks, work independently, and do not hesitate to ask for support when needed.

Your experience

To be considered for the position, you need to have:

• a completed upper secondary education as well as started or completed post-secondary education in an area that the employer considers relevant for the position
• experience working with target groups who are far from the housing market
• good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• a good understanding of documentation according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Local Government Act.

It is meritorious if you have:

• experience with housing search support or similar tasks
• experience working with newly arrived immigrants and establishment measures
• experience collaborating with the social services' authority function and the Migration Agency
• knowledge of or experience working with MI (Motivational Interviewing).

Interested?

The position is an hourly employment equivalent to approximately 40 percent, with work on two fixed days per week – Tuesdays and Thursdays – at our office in Sickla köpkvarter. Access is as soon as possible according to agreement, and the employment lasts until December 31, 2026, with the possibility of extension.
