Team Leader for Supported Housing in Ordinary Accommodation & Housing First
We are expanding our team with an additional Team Leader!
We work on behalf of commissioning units within Disability Services, Individual and Family Services, and Elderly Care. We provide support to individuals with various functional variations such as intellectual disabilities, psychiatric diagnoses, autism spectrum disorder and/or ADHD, harmful substance use and addiction, as well as co-occurring disorders, who live in their own homes throughout Haninge Municipality. Currently, the number of clients is approximately 556, including 13 Housing First participants.
We are looking for another stable Team Leader who wants to contribute to a secure and high-quality operation for individuals receiving supported housing. In this role, you are responsible for leading and distributing the daily work for four teams consisting of 7 supported housing workers and approx. 6 hourly substitutes, as well as the Housing First team which has 3 housing coaches providing flexible and intensive support in the intervention.
The assignment includes ensuring that interventions are carried out according to current routines and legislation. You work closely with the Unit Manager and play a key role in monitoring events, deviations, and quality work according to our systematic quality management system.
As a Team Leader, you are a pedagogical role model and work with a professional attitude. You lead meetings with employees, commissioners, and relatives, and actively contribute to the development of the operation. You conduct new visits/home visits when we receive new assignments from commissioners. It also occurs that you perform supported housing support in special cases, for example, if substitute staffing is not possible in other ways but the need is necessary to meet.
Your assignment as a Team Leader is based on the LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) and SoL (Social Services Act), where the core principles for how interventions should be given are self-determination, influence, accessibility, participation, continuity, and a holistic view. The goal is for the person to receive the support they need to live as independent a life as possible with good quality of life.
As a Team Leader, you have an important task to:
- Lead and distribute the daily work together with the Unit Manager
- Be a pedagogical role model for employees
- Coordinate/follow up on interventions and maintain structure and routines in the operation
- Contribute to a good work environment
Here is what we are looking for in you:
- At least 8–10 years of experience working with individuals granted supported housing in ordinary accommodation according to SoL
- Adequate education for the area of operation, e.g., social worker, social pedagogue, or other education AND experience that the employer deems equivalent
- Very good communication skills, both in meetings with people and in writing
- Digital competence and an interest in implementing new solutions
- You are a flexible and stable person with an empathetic approach
- Experience with scheduling (preferably in Medvind) and staffing issues
- Experience leading others in team work
- You are result-oriented and ensure good quality in the execution of support and service, and have the ability to make well-thought-out prioritizations in work for yourself and employees
- Knowledge and experience in work methods such as: low-affective handling, clarifying pedagogy, ESL (Empowerment, Self-determination, Support, Life skills), MI (Motivational Interviewing), IBIC, challenging behavior, and equality
- Category B driver's license
Meritorious:
- Knowledge and experience of working in operation systems e.g., Lifecare, Proceedo, Medvind
- Work with Housing First (supervisory or operational in execution)
We place great importance on personal suitability and it is of utmost importance that you can collaborate with the rest of the team, clients, guardians/managers, and other partners.
We offer a responsible and developing role where you get the opportunity to make a difference for both employees and clients.
This is a permanent position that may begin with a 6-month probationary period.
