Do you want to drive development in after-school centers and contribute to long-term quality in education?

We are looking for an engaged and driven Development Pedagogue who wants to strengthen the operations of after-school centers through networking, further education, and systematic quality work based on relevant and current research. The assignment involves creating sustainable structures for development, supporting and supervising pedagogues in the development of after-school centers, and contributing to competence development through workshops and further education initiatives. The assignment is initially time-limited to two years but may be extended depending on necessary decisions.

The position is organizationally placed in the Timmele school area with the responsible principal as the direct supervisor. The assignment is municipal-wide, meaning you, on behalf of the operations, collaborate with all after-school centers in the municipality. Responsibilities

In this assignment, you work both strategically and operationally with development initiatives in after-school centers. You collaborate with principals, work teams, development leaders, networks, and external actors to develop operations and create conditions for collegial learning. You drive and support systematic quality work (SQW) in after-school centers by, for example, creating annual plans and structures for long-term development work. Together with the responsible principal and development leader, you plan, lead, and develop network meetings for after-school center staff.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a pedagogical university degree and experience working in after-school centers.
  • Has good knowledge of the mission, governing documents, and systematic quality work of after-school centers.
  • Has experience in school development and leading development processes.
  • Is accustomed to leading networks, processes, or competence development initiatives.
  • Has strong analytical skills and can translate results and analyses into concrete development initiatives.
  • Is confident in leading pedagogical discussions, workshops, and collegial learning.
  • Has very good communication skills in speech and writing.
  • Works independently while having good collaboration skills and thriving in a role with many contact surfaces.
  • Is structured, proactive, and capable of long-term planning.
  • Hold a valid B-class driver's license.

  • Experience working in adapted schools.
  • Experience working with students in need of special support or with disabilities.
  • Experience planning and conducting further education initiatives or supervising colleagues.

Employment type: Permanent.
Duration: Permanent, start date: As agreed.
After the assignment is completed, the position will transition to a permanent teacher position with a focus on after-school centers in the municipality.
