Brunnsboskolan is a comprehensive school (grades F-9) located at Brunnsbotorget on Hisingen. There are excellent bus connections, with only a 5-minute journey from the Central Station. Our goal is for Brunnsboskolan to be a school where students, staff, and parents thrive and share a common responsibility for creating good conditions for learning and the learning environment. We are now looking for a leisure-time center teacher (fritidshem) for our adapted comprehensive school for grades 1-6.

Responsibilities

As a leisure-time center teacher, you are responsible for planning and implementing activities that stimulate children's creativity and promote their social development. You help create an environment where children feel safe and seen, and you actively work to support their individual needs. Through close collaboration with the school's other educators, you ensure that the leisure-time center's work connects with the students' learning in school and contributes to a coherent pedagogical approach.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who want to work with a student focus with us at Brunnsboskolan's adapted comprehensive school. For the position, it is required that you are educated and licensed as a leisure-time center teacher. You should have experience working with students with NPD (Neurodevelopmental Disorders) diagnoses and have worked in special preschools, adapted comprehensive schools, or other operations with students in need of support.

You must also have good knowledge of AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), sign language as support, or picture support. Extensive experience in working with a low-affective approach is required. Digital competence is a requirement for handling information, documenting, and this is a natural part of the teaching.

As a person, you have the ability to convey security and trust to the students, as well as being calm and patient yourself. You should be able to motivate and challenge, but also have the ability to set boundaries. Furthermore, you are flexible and can adapt your way of working based on unforeseen events. You also have good collaboration skills as the position involves close collaboration with the school's other educators.
