Kungälv Municipality is investing in strengthening safety and study peace in our middle and upper secondary schools. Our common goal and focus is that everyone should feel safe during their school day. Therefore, we are investing in increasing adult presence in our corridors, break rooms, and other common areas. We are now looking for you who want to contribute to a safer school in Kungälv Municipality.

Responsibilities

As a Safety Warden, you are an important link between the student and the school's other professionals, enabling the school to work with students from a holistic perspective. In your role, we expect you to possess personal maturity and confidence, be an active listener, and have the ability to act based on needs and sometimes rapid changes. Building good relationships with our students will be one of your primary tasks. Together with other staff, you will work towards common goals aimed at promoting safety, study peace, school attendance, and well-being for our students. Some documentation is required in this position.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

• Have a few years of work experience and experience working with young people.
• Have the ability to be a safe, clear, and responsible adult for the students in their school environment.
• Have a good ability to create and maintain relationships.
• Have the ability to collaborate with key actors important to us in the school, such as social services, police, and safe working environment organizations.
• Are engaged, flexible, analytical, and together with other staff take responsibility for achieving the school's goals, both short-term and long-term.
• Collaboration and direct communication are important traits for you as you take on the role of Safety Warden.
• Are both creative and courageous, as you will meet many different people and situations that may involve sudden changes requiring quick adaptation.

We see that you, as an applicant, have a background as a social pedagogue, behavioral scientist, leisure-time pedagogue, leisure-time leader, or other equivalent education. It is important that you are independent, see what needs to be done, and consistently uphold the values that the school stands for.

Personal qualities are crucial.

To succeed in the assignment, it is meritorious if you are already familiar with the school's operations and mission.

Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.
