Do you have an interest, desire, and commitment to work together with children and young people? Do you like taking responsibility, and can you step in with short notice, even if you receive a booking from the school early in the morning?

As a substitute teacher, you will be right in the middle of the operations, where it is expected that you are flexible and can quickly familiarize yourself with different routines. The school's first lesson starts around 08:00, which requires you to be reachable from approx. 06:30.

Adapted Primary School is a separate school form for children and young people with intellectual disabilities. The activities are adapted to the students' own prerequisites but are based on the curriculum for Adapted Primary School. The students receive their education in smaller classes at one of our four schools or integrated into a regular primary school class. In Härryda Municipality, there are four adapted primary schools, two in Mölnlycke and two in Landvetter.

Adapted Primary School should provide students with intellectual disabilities with an education adapted to each student's prerequisites and, as far as possible, corresponding to that provided in primary school. It is important to work with a low-affective approach in interactions.

We are looking for you who want to work at an Adapted Primary School in Härryda Municipality now until autumn 2026. As a person, you are empathetic, engaged, calm, and responsible with a genuine interest in working with children. You are also flexible and can inspire and engage students.

Qualifications:

• Experience working with people with disabilities.
• Very good knowledge of the Swedish language, both oral and written.
• Good computer skills.
• Certificate of Conduct from the Swedish Police Authority (extract from the criminal record) and extract for work in schools or preschools.
• High school diploma.
• Ability to work at least 4–5 full days per week, Monday–Friday.
• Be reachable from 06:30 in the morning.

Meritorious:

• Experience working with children with disabilities.
• Experience working with a low-affective approach.
• Relevant education for the profession.
• Relevant professional experience.
• A few years of work experience.

To obtain employment, a certificate of conduct from the Police Authority must be presented. You order the certificate on the police website. If you are called for an interview, you must bring two certificates of conduct (extract from the criminal record) in an unopened envelope and show the extract for work in schools or preschools.
