Description

If you are a licensed physiotherapist or occupational therapist and are driven by development, quality, and patient safety – this role may be for you. We are currently seeking a Medical Responsible for Rehabilitation (MAR).

The position is newly established due to new legal requirements and is organizationally placed directly under the Social Affairs Director. Part of the assignment is carried out within the framework of an agreement with Bjurholm Municipality. The role involves close and continuous collaboration with the Medical Responsible Nurse (MAS). The position is a full-time role where approximately 50% of the assignment consists of the MAR role, while the remaining part involves support and development tasks at a broader level within the administration. Since the role is new, the content of the assignment will be shaped and developed over time. As a smaller municipality, this also implies some flexibility to contribute where needs arise within the organization.

Responsibilities

In the role of MAR, you have overall responsibility for ensuring good quality and high patient safety within the rehabilitation and habilitation fields. You work strategically and systematically to develop, follow up, and quality-assure operations based on current legislation and national guidelines.

In your role as MAR, you will among other things work with:

• Developing, following up, and quality-assuring guidelines, routines, and working methods within rehabilitation and habilitation.
• Providing qualified support to operations regarding rehabilitation and habilitation issues.
• Ensuring that operations are conducted in accordance with the law and with high patient safety.
• Collaborating closely with the MAS, managers, and other key functions.
• Participating in and conducting risk analyses related to the area of responsibility and contributing to learning and improvements based on the analysis.
• Handling cases and reports to the IVO (Swedish Health and Care Inspectorate) within the area of responsibility.
• Preparing quality and patient safety reports in collaboration with the MAS.
• Preparing written materials for the management group and the board.
• Analyzing key figures and statistics within the patient safety area.
• Participating in internal training, competence development initiatives, and networks.

We are looking for you who:

• Have documented experience of rehabilitation and/or habilitation, preferably within municipal operations.
• Have good knowledge of relevant legislation within municipal health and medical care, such as HSL, PSL, and PDL, and have experience of or interest in quality, development, and patient safety work.
• Can express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish, have good computer skills, and hold a B-driving license.

Experience working in a strategic, coordinating, or development-oriented role is an advantage.
