About the role
We are currently looking for a Payroll Administrator for a government agency in Norrköping! In this role, you are responsible for ensuring the correct and efficient handling of payroll administration for all employees. You will work closely with colleagues in the payroll department to manage payroll disbursements, reporting, and employee support. Your duties include handling payroll-related matters, expense claims, advances, and system administration.
Together with the payroll team, you will support the agency with questions related to salary and other compensations. The assignment covers the entire payroll process up to the payroll run (e.g., travel expenses, corrections, driving logs, various leaves, benefits, certificates, and controls).
Other potential tasks include:
- Process and verify payroll data
- Generate payroll lists
- Create reports and statistics
- Report taxes and employer contributions
- Compile time and absence reports
- Answer questions from employees (e.g., regarding salary and vacation)
- Perform calculations and corrections
- Daily management and leadership of operations
Assignment period and scope:
The Payroll Administrator position is a full-time consulting assignment expected to start on 2026-10-01 and will initially last for approximately 2 years.
The need to work on-site at the office in Norrköping will vary during the assignment. During the first month, you will be required to be on-site 100%. Thereafter, there will be an opportunity to work remotely approximately one (1) to two (2) days a week, depending on work requirements.
Please note that the agency conducts security-classified operations, which means the assignment cannot begin until background checks and registry checks for the final candidate have been completed and approved.
Requirements for the position:
- University College degree (YH) or similar education within payroll
- At least three (3) years of work experience as a Payroll Administrator
- Good knowledge of MS Office
- Good knowledge of payroll systems
- Good knowledge of financial systems
- Good knowledge of collective agreements
- Fluent in Swedish, both verbally and in writing
- Available for an interview via Skype on 2026-08-21
To verify the above, we require one (1) reference assignment completed within the last five (5) years (calculated from 2026-08-17) where you worked for at least one (1) year as a Payroll Administrator, Payroll Specialist, or equivalent role within payroll.
To be considered for the next stage of the process, you must clearly state in your CV that all the above requirements are met. Specify which assignment(s) demonstrate the requested experience. The time period must be stated in year and month (YY-MM).
