Linköping District Court is one of the country's medium-sized courts with approximately 65 employees. The court handles criminal cases, civil cases, and other matters. Our task is to decide cases and matters in a legally secure and efficient manner.

The court is divided into two judicial divisions consisting of several sections. Each division has a chief clerk, as well as judges, case handlers, and notaries. The court also has an administrative division responsible for, among other things, economic and personnel administration, caretaking, and reception.

The operations are conducted in bright and pleasant premises on the Garrison area in Linköping, where we are co-located with the Administrative Court and the Rent and Tenancy Tribunal in Linköping.

Job Description

As a legal preparer (case preparer), you will independently, in consultation with judges and court case handlers, prepare and process selected categories of civil cases, criminal cases, or matters. Your duties also include proposing judgments and decisions and serving as the minute-taker during hearings.

If you have completed notarial training, additional duties may become relevant, for example, independent preparation with responsibility for driving the court's work within a specific category of cases.

Qualifications

You have at least a law degree. You have very good legal knowledge, and we would appreciate if you have previous experience of legal work from a general court or another authority within the judicial system. If you are notary-qualified, it can be meritorious, but it is not a requirement.

The work requires very good judgment, great attention to detail, a strong sense of responsibility, and very good teamwork skills. You are stress-resistant, flexible, and have the ability to prioritize among your tasks.

To be considered for employment, you must meet high demands regarding judgment, security awareness, and suitability. This means that you uphold democratic values and the public sector's values.
