Do you want to help shape the future of leadership at the Swedish Public Employment Service (Arbetsförmedlingen)? As a Leadership Development Specialist for Managers (Chefsutvecklare), you will drive strategic leadership development and create structures for manager development that strengthen managers in their mission to lead operations. Job Description

As a Leadership Development Specialist for Managers on the HR department, you are responsible for developing managers' ability to lead operations. The work involves strategic leadership development, building structures for manager development, and implementing development initiatives for managers.

Your main task is to develop the agency's common direction for leadership and employee engagement and how it is applied in governing and supporting processes, as well as to ensure that the agency's leadership development is integrated with the agency's strategic direction.

A central task is to design development initiatives for managers at all levels and to strengthen the ability of executive teams to lead and steer operations effectively.

The work involves analyzing needs and planning, implementing, and evaluating various types of development initiatives, such as manager programs and customized initiatives for executive teams. The assignment includes both implementing development initiatives yourself and procuring and specifying requirements for assignments to external suppliers.

The position is a permanent full-time employment that may start with a six-month probationary period. The workplace is located in Solna.

Basic Requirements for the Position

  • University education (psychology or behavioral science) of at least 180 higher education credits (120 credits under the previous system).
  • Experience of consultative work in the field of organization and leadership: design and implementation of manager and leadership programs, as well as work with group and executive team development.
  • Documented experience of independently driving and coordinating organization-wide processes/initiatives/projects.

Other Merits for the Position

  • Experience of working in a large organization, preferably from a government agency.
  • Experience of working with procurement and specifying requirements against suppliers.
  • Further education in OBM (Organizational Behavior Management) and experience of applying this practically.
  • Experience of change management and applying this practically in development work.
  • Experience of working with all organizational levels, including top management.

In addition, you possess good communication skills both orally and in writing, and the ability to lead conversations and dialogues, both in small and large groups, as well as a well-developed ability to collaborate. The ability to create trust and good relationships and to be a professionally secure support with strong integrity will be crucial for your success in the role of Leadership Development Specialist for Managers. You also need to be structured and have analytical and creative thinking.
