Job Responsibilities

The position involves teaching lower-level mathematics courses in upper secondary school as well as grade 9 mathematics for our students enrolled in introductory programs. At Rönnowska Skolan, we work together in teams and across subject boundaries to create a holistic education for our students based on graduation goals. You will be responsible for planning, implementation, and follow-up/evaluation of your teaching. In your role as a teacher, it is important that you focus on student learning and work to ensure they reach as far as possible in their knowledge development.

In the autumn of 2025, Rönnowska Skolan will launch a professional development initiative where our mathematics teachers, together with the pedagogical center, will work to further strengthen and develop teaching with the aim of increasing goal achievement among our students. You will be an important part of this work, expected to share your expertise and ideas while remaining curious, willing to try new things, and reflecting on and evaluating your own and others' teaching. Your responsibilities include mentorship, and you are expected to coach, guide, and inspire our students to help them achieve high goal fulfillment.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with the qualifications to teach mathematics at the upper secondary level. You are development-oriented and passionate about pedagogical and didactic issues in mathematics teaching. You have good subject knowledge, but above all, you have high pedagogical and didactic competence, meaning you have many different tools and resources to make teaching accessible and adapt it to the students you meet. You should have experience working with mathematics development to increase goal achievement, for example, in a role as a special education teacher or lead teacher.

As a person, you are communicative, enthusiastic, and have a good ability to create participation, good relationships, and engagement among both students and adults. It is important to us that you are a team player with a focus on solutions and contribute to a pleasant work environment. You use pedagogical documentation as a method to increase awareness of your own work in the school. For you, modern technology is a natural choice in your role as a teacher, and you use digital tools for knowledge seeking, communication, creation, and learning.
