Resource Pedagogue / Teaching Assistant
Do you want to work in an international school environment with a clear pedagogical vision?
We are now looking for a teaching assistant for a student with diabetes!
Our School
International English School (IES) has made a significant difference for our students for over 30 years. We are convinced that this is due to our clear ethos of dedicated staff and present school leadership. An environment where everyone works towards common goals and where the students are at the center of everything we do – all students are your students.
IES Staffanstorp is a compulsory school (grades 1-9) with approximately 600 students and 70 employees. We are a bilingual school following the Swedish national curriculum.
Your Role
As a teaching assistant, you work closely with responsible pedagogues and the school's student health team to support students in need of special assistance, both in teaching situations and in other parts of the school day.
You contribute to the student's social, communicative, and academic development by:
- Being an active support in the classroom and in other learning environments.
- Strengthening the students' independence and participation.
- Participating in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of pedagogical work under the direction of responsible pedagogues.
- Collaborating closely with pedagogues, the student health team, guardians, and other staff to create the best possible conditions for the student's development.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have relevant pedagogical education and experience working with students in need of special assistance.
Merits:
- Experience working with students with diabetes.
- Experience working in a resource team or special education group.
- Experience working in a multicultural school environment.
Personal Attributes
You are flexible, receptive, and communicative, with a natural ability to build good relationships and trust. You thrive in collaboration but can also work independently and take responsibility for planning and structuring your work.
You are secure, stable, and professional, with a genuine commitment to students in need of special assistance. You understand that the role can be both complex and challenging, but also very meaningful.
Interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis, and the position may be filled before the application deadline, so submit your application today. An extract from the criminal record register will be required prior to employment.
We look forward to receiving your application!

N.B. Prior to any offer of employment at IES, a criminal background check is required for all applicants. In Sweden, this is an extract from the criminal record register (belastningsregistret) from the Swedish Police Authority, and from abroad, this is a record extract from an equivalent police governing body.
