Capio S:t Göran's Hospital is centrally located in Stockholm and is a vital part of Sweden's emergency healthcare system. About the role

As HR Director at Capio S:t Göran's Hospital, you will have a broad and operationally close assignment with significant authority and high impact. You report to CEO Gustaf Storm and are part of the hospital's management group. You also belong to Capio Sweden's HR Leadership, consisting of the HR Director and HR Directors in Capio's business areas.

You lead the HR function at the hospital and are responsible for ensuring HR contributes to the hospital's goals, development, and daily operations. Your team includes HR partners as well as individuals responsible for learning, leadership development, hospital onboarding, and internal communication. In total, you have personnel responsibility for 10 people.

The role involves being a qualified support to the CEO, management group, and operation managers in matters concerning, among other things, workforce planning, labor law, union collaboration, work environment, change management, organizational development, leadership development, employee engagement, and internal communication.

An important part of the assignment is to continue developing HR's core services, such as payroll audits, recruitment, employee surveys, work environment processes, rehabilitation, and managerial support in complex personnel issues, together with the team. At the same time, there is a clear development assignment linked to new ways of working, digitalization, employer branding, and long-term workforce planning.

You will also play an important role in union collaboration. Capio S:t Göran's Hospital is a large and complex employer with several union parties and primarily the collective agreement "General Provisions." Therefore, you need to be confident in labor law, negotiation, and collective agreement interpretation, while also having the ability to build long-term and trusting relationships.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who have:

  • An academic education in HR, personnel science, behavioral science, or other relevant education.
  • Broad and solid experience in qualified HR work in personnel-intensive operations.
  • Good and independent experience in union collaboration, negotiation, and collective agreement interpretation.
  • Managerial experience with personnel responsibility and experience in leading, coaching, and developing teams.
  • Experience working both strategically and operationally/tactically.
  • Experience working closely with CEOs, management groups, or equivalent.

As a person, you are secure, clear, and relationship-building. You build trust through presence, responsiveness, and professional competence. You can stand firm in difficult issues, but do so with respect, judgment, and the ability to create dialogue.

To succeed in the role, you need to be able to switch between strategic height and practical daily life, and to work in a team with your employees in the HR organization. You thrive close to the operations, have an understanding of managers' daily lives, and can balance people, regulations, operations, and relationships in a wise manner.

You are communicative, curious, and development-oriented. You like to test new things, challenge established ways of working, and drive improvement. At the same time, you have the ability to create structure, maintain direction, and remain steady even when the pace is high.
