The work involves consultation and preparation of permit cases according to the Cultural Environment Act (KML) in connection with new land use demands. During the consultation phase, the task is to inform about ancient remains affected by planned land exploitation, forestry operations, or land consolidation, and to help find solutions to preserve ancient remains or limit interventions. When interventions cannot be avoided, the task is to assess the need for and order archaeological investigations. You will carry out the County Administrative Board's tasks and look after the best interests of our citizens.

The work involves processing cases with independent assessments. We will assess and distribute cases based on your competencies and background.

You should have good insight into procurement-like procedures according to KML and preferably experience from field archaeology. You should be well familiar with working in a GIS environment. A B-class driver's license is a requirement.

You are welcome to have a broad cultural environment competence as your tasks may touch upon more areas. The versatility of the position presupposes that you are development- and solution-oriented and able to prioritize.

We place great emphasis on your personal qualities. As a person, you have good cooperation skills, are pragmatic and solution-oriented. Furthermore, you are receptive, communicative, and express yourself well both orally and in writing.
