Are you ready to contribute to a more sustainable and flexible energy system where your insights make a real difference? Here, you will have the opportunity to drive development, influence key stakeholders, and be part of an engaged team shaping the future of energy use. Apply today and make your mark on our organization!
The Swedish Energy Agency works for a fossil-free and robust energy supply. Energy security, competitiveness, and ecological sustainability are perspectives that must be combined to secure the future energy system.
Your responsibilities - analyze, influence, and develop
In the role of case officer, you will work to increase flexibility in the energy system. The role involves driving analyses and investigations into what measures are required in society to increase flexibility. In addition to analyzing and investigating needs, the role includes driving actions among actors who are important for flexibility. You will work closely with colleagues who also have the mandate to develop flexibility within the energy system.
You will be part of a team that handles, among other things, a new investment support scheme (Kraftlyftet) and the Act on Energy Audits, both of which aim to accelerate the work of large energy users regarding energy efficiency and flexible energy use. The team also works on implementing knowledge-raising measures and networking activities, where flexibility within the energy system will be a part.
The role involves collaboration with colleagues at the Agency and other actors in forums at both national and international levels. Travel occurs both within Sweden and abroad.
Qualifications
You have an academic degree that the employer deems relevant for the role, for example, as a civil engineer or a degree with a natural science focus. You have experience working with energy-related issues, particularly those concerning flexibility within the energy system, and possess knowledge of the conditions for flexibility among energy users. You also have very good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing, as well as good IT skills in modern systems.
Furthermore, experience in working with grid-related issues, preferably in collaboration with industry, data centers, or other large energy users, is meritorious. You have worked with energy efficiency and are accustomed to producing high-quality reports. It is also meritorious if you have experience from an authority or region within energy- or industry-related issues, as well as knowledge of the regulations and market factors that affect flexibility within the energy system.
Personal qualities
We place great importance on personal qualities. The role requires you to be clear in your communication and express yourself clearly, engaged, and adapted to both the situation and the recipient. You are also flexible, with the ability to quickly adapt when conditions change and see opportunities in what shifts. At the same time, you work independently, take responsibility for your tasks, and drive processes forward in a structured manner. Your ability to collaborate allows you to relate to others in a listening and smooth way, contributing to constructive dialogues and solutions. You are proactive, get things done, and work purposefully to achieve results. We look forward to meeting you with drive, engagement, and interest in the position!
