We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher for the project "Sustainable Work Environment and Safe Clinical Implementation in Maternity and Childbirth Care."

The project combines research on organizational work environment with clinical studies in maternity and childbirth care. The starting point is that sustainable healthcare development requires knowledge of both staff working conditions, organizational prerequisites, implementation processes, and patient experiences. The project is conducted in an interdisciplinary research environment and includes both qualitative and quantitative research approaches.

Responsibilities

As a postdoctoral researcher, you will have a central role in the implementation and development of the project. You are responsible independently for planning, conducting, and following up on research activities in close collaboration with the project leader and other researchers. The work covers the entire research process – from data collection and analysis to scientific publication and communication of results.

The responsibilities include among other things:

  • planning and conducting data collection, such as interviews, focus groups, document studies, and survey- or register-based data collection,
  • independently conducting systematic qualitative analyses and contributing to methodologically well-founded interpretation of research data,
  • conducting and interpreting statistical analyses, including descriptive analyses and regression models, in consultation with the project leader and, if necessary, statistical expertise,
  • being responsible for data management, data processing, and quality assurance of research data,
  • taking an active and independent role in manuscript writing, including drafting results, methods, and discussion sections for scientific publications,
  • compiling and presenting results to the project group, partners, and at scientific meetings,
  • contributing to the development of the project's research questions, analysis strategies, and future publications.

The role also involves contributing to the development of analysis strategies, conducting qualitative and/or statistical analyses, interpreting results, and taking an active role in the production of scientific publications.

You are also expected to contribute to the development of the research environment through collaboration with internal and external actors, as well as by actively participating in knowledge dissemination and scientific communication.

Qualifications

Eligible for employment as a postdoctoral researcher for this position is someone who has completed a PhD, an artistic doctorate, or has a foreign degree assessed as equivalent to a PhD. This eligibility requirement must be met no later than at the time the employment decision is made.

Priority should be given to those who have completed their degree no more than three years before the application deadline. Those who completed their degree earlier may also be considered in priority if there are special reasons.
