At Växthuset Preschool, play is at the center, serving as children's primary tool for learning. "Play to Learn, Live, and Succeed" represents our preschool and is the name of our departments.

We believe in every child's ability and desire to learn. We work to ensure that all children want and dare to explore. Each individual child should have the opportunity to eventually become a responsible and empathetic person who functions well in a democratic society. The education is shaped by the children's interests and opportunities for new experiences, knowledge, and learning.

Växthuset Preschool is located in Bredared, just outside Borås, close to the forest and its fantastic opportunities. Nature and the local environment are natural elements and a major source of inspiration in our teaching. We have two yards that we divide our time between during the day.

Our education is based on the Swedish National Agency for Education's curriculum for the preschool, Lpfö. During the academic year 2026/2027, we will deepen our development work regarding language based on the Language Plan, with the goal of creating our own language policy for the preschool.

Your responsibilities as a preschool teacher are to work together with the team to create the best possible conditions for each individual child's development and learning. As a preschool teacher, you are responsible for planning and implementing education according to current guidelines. You use documentation as a method to monitor, analyze, and evaluate the results of your planned education. This analysis forms the basis for developing education and teaching based on the preschool curriculum and the preschool's prioritized goals.

You actively work to promote children's ability to participate and influence their education by listening to children's opinions, views, and needs. You have the ability to create an education that starts from each child's interests and needs, giving every child the opportunity to succeed based on their own prerequisites.

You have pedagogical development time scheduled, which provides time for reflection within the team, collegial learning, and individual planning.

We have pedagogical Mondays every other week in the schedule, meaning all staff work until 18:30 every other Monday.

We are looking for you who are a licensed preschool teacher and who, together with the children at Växthuset, want to explore and discover. You collaborate well but can also work independently, and you see development and quality work as a natural and stimulating part of the role. You have a positive and open attitude towards everyone you meet, thereby helping to create trusting relationships in your professional role.

As a pedagogue, you are engaged, driven, innovative, and creative. You see play as your primary tool for lifelong learning. You create conditions for sustainable development, and concepts such as teaching, democracy, inclusion, and accessibility are important in your work. You have a good ability to see the strengths of all children and find it natural to work based on the needs of each child and child group.

We would appreciate it if you have good digital skills, as digital tools are our primary method for, for example, documentation and systematic quality work. It is a merit if you have education or experience working with TAKK (Total Communication) and picture support.

Since the preschool is located in a rural area, a driver's license and a car are mandatory to commute to and from Växthuset Preschool.

Within the Preschool Administration, we offer free pedagogical lunches, work clothes, and as a preschool teacher, you have an average of five hours of planning time per week.
