Special Educator at Ebba Pettersson's Private School – A unique opportunity to shape our student health services!
Do you want to help develop a strong student health service at a school that prioritizes the best interests of every student?
We are now looking for an engaged special educator who wants to take a key role in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment. This is a unique opportunity to influence and further develop our student health work as we move forward.
Ebba Pettersson's Private School is a non-profit foundation, meaning 100% of the student funding goes directly to the operations. We are a school for grades F-9 (preschool to grade 9) with approximately 650 students. The school has a long history as one of Gothenburg's oldest primary schools and is characterized by a culture focused on our core values: safety, pride, engagement, development, and joy.
We are looking for a driven colleague who truly wants to make a difference. As a person, you are a team player without ego, but you also possess a great deal of courage. You build trust through attentiveness and professionalism, while being confident in challenging and elevating pedagogical issues when needed for our development. You have the ability to create a sense of belonging around common goals and inspire the staff to work from a unified, inclusive view of learning.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is educated as a special educator with previous experience as a teacher.
- Has a broad understanding of pedagogical perspectives and a documented ability to mentor working groups, teachers, and teams.
- Is secure in your professional role and has the personal maturity to guide others, even in complex conversations and when facing resistance.
- Is solution-focused, innovative, and has the ability to create consensus around student health issues.
Your responsibilities
As a special educator with us, you will:
- Be a driving force in developing and strengthening our student health service, with the starting point that student health begins in the classroom.
- In close collaboration with working groups and the student health team, mentor and support teachers in adapting instruction.
- Map and analyze student needs and participate in investigations and action plans.
- Work closely with school leadership and the student health team to create an accessible learning environment with a positive view of students.
- Lead pedagogical discussions and inspire a common approach.
- Conduct dialogue with guardians and external actors to ensure the right support measures.

✨ A position where you have room to influence, challenge, and develop the school's way of working, permeated by a special didactic approach.
The position is a permanent full-time (100%) position, holiday service. Start date August 2026, or as agreed. Selection and interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis.
We kindly but firmly decline direct contact from staffing or consulting firms.
