Job Description

The upcoming Science City School is now looking for a teacher in textile crafts. The position is initially located at Eriksdalskolan, and when we move into the new school during the 2026/2027 academic year, the position will move there as well. Currently, the upper grades at Eriksdalskolan have approximately 160 students, and we have a staff of just over 25.

The incoming teacher in textile crafts will have significant influence on the procurement and planning of the textile craft rooms at Science City School. You will be involved in building up our learning environments and shaping the pedagogical ideas that will underpin our future work. As your closest colleague, you will work alongside a teacher in wood and metal crafts, as well as a friendly and cohesive team. You will also receive a mentor as a new employee and substantial support from a special education teacher. There are opportunities to attend craft conferences, training sessions, and inspiration days.

Qualifications

Legitimized teacher with a specialization in crafts (slöjd).

To begin working in preschool, school, after-school centers, and other pedagogical activities, you are required to present an extract from your criminal record. The extract is valid for one year and can be ordered from the Swedish National Police Board (www.polisen.se (https://www.polisen.se)).
