About Hulaskolan

Hulaskolan is a preschool class to grade 5 school where we work to ensure that every student feels seen, heard, and challenged based on their own prerequisites. The school is located in southern Lerum near green areas and is close to public transport. Job Responsibilities

You will work as a resource pedagogue/support pedagogue supporting a student with NPD (ADHD and ASD). Your task is to, under the direction of the teacher, support the student in their learning and in social contexts during the school day (including after-school care). You will also take responsibility for ensuring that the student's learning environment is adapted to their needs.

As a resource pedagogue/support pedagogue, you need to take responsibility for being well-acquainted with the activities that are to be carried out throughout the entire school day. You are therefore expected to be a skilled and unpretentious team player, a good listener who always wants what is best for the student. You are also a pedagogical role model regarding communicating in ways other than spoken language.

Qualifications

We are looking for a resource pedagogue with a curiosity to find the students' driving forces for learning. You should have university credits in pedagogy, behavioral science, or social work. You can also apply for the position if you have a pedagogical education from a university college of applied sciences (e.g., activator pedagogue, social pedagogue, or support pedagogue). Knowledge of AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) and experience working with children and young people with ASD is meritorious.

You are expected to have good skills in collaborating with both students, other staff, and guardians. You should be skilled at creating conditions for students to succeed in functioning in groups.
