Johannebergsskolan Estetiska F-6 has approximately 330 students in school and after-school care, distributed across two classes in each grade from preschool class to grade six. The school is located on the hill above Götaplatsen, at the very top of Johanneberg. Directly across the schoolyard is the neighboring school Johannebergsskolan Montessori F-5. Students from Montessoriskolan Elyseum 6-9 also come to our teachers and facilities for craft education.

We work to ensure that every student develops as much as possible based on their prerequisites, and it is important to us that the student feels seen and appreciated for who they are.

We are now looking for you who are a certified teacher with the qualification to teach in wood and metal crafts as well as textile crafts. The position involves teaching students from Johannebergsskolan Estetiska F-6, Johannebergsskolan Montessori F-5, and Montessoriskolan Elyseum 6-9. All teaching takes place in the craft rooms at Johannebergsskolan Estetiska F-6.

Responsibilities

We are looking for you who want to teach both wood and metal crafts and textile crafts. As a craft teacher, you are responsible for the planning, implementation, and follow-up of teaching for grades 3-9.

You work together with other craft teachers and are part of a work team at Johannebergsskolan Estetiska. The school has two fully equipped craft rooms for both specializations. You are responsible for these together with your craft colleagues.

We welcome both experienced teachers and newly graduated teachers. To ensure that you as a newly graduated teacher get the best possible start in the profession, you will participate in the Basic Education Administration's Teacher Academy's introduction program for newly graduated teachers. The introduction gives you a network with other newly graduated teachers and targeted activities during your first year as a teacher.

Qualifications

You have a teaching license and the qualification to teach crafts in grades 3-9.

You have a genuine interest in developing the craft subject and its teaching based on the curriculum documents together with craft colleagues. You are a clear and supportive pedagogical leader who is sensitive to the abilities of children and young people.

With your commitment to the craft subject, you motivate students in a safe and inspiring environment. You adapt the activities to the students' needs and enable learning and development for each student, both regarding knowledge and values.

You see the big picture and thrive in an environment where flexibility, good communication, and social competence are required. By being interested and creating understanding for others, you work for a respectful work climate. You enjoy collaborating with colleagues and contribute to the work team's development with joy of work, knowledge, and commitment.
