We are looking for a certified preschool teacher for Eskilstuna Friluftsförskola Tumbo

Do you want to help develop a safe, educational, and nature-oriented preschool where children's curiosity and joy of discovery are at the center? Then you might be the one we are looking for.

Eskilstuna Friluftsförskola Tumbo is located in Tumbo, a locality in Eskilstuna Municipality, adjacent to Kvicksund. The preschool offers a safe, exploratory, and inspiring environment where children's learning and development are the focus.

The preschool has space for 45 children and operates in three to four age-segregated groups to meet each child's needs and developmental level.

The foundation of our work is the Swedish National Agency for Education's curriculum for the preschool. Safety is the foundation for all learning, and we actively work to ensure that every child feels seen, affirmed, and significant. By taking advantage of children's initiatives and interests, we strengthen their self-esteem, participation, and desire to learn.

We are also inspired by ICDP – International Child Development Programme (Guiding Interaction). ICDP aims to strengthen the interaction between children and adults and create good relationships that promote children's social, emotional, and cognitive development.

We are members of Friluftsfrämjandet and run an outdoor-oriented activity with a "Skogsmulle" profile. We spend time outdoors every day and see nature as an important learning environment where children have the opportunity to develop knowledge, motor skills, and environmental awareness. We serve nutritious meals that give children good energy and a solid foundation for a healthy lifestyle. Our meals are cooked from scratch with pure ingredients and no refined sugar.

We are looking for you who is an experienced certified preschool teacher and who wants to develop the activity together with colleagues. You have good cooperation skills, are flexible, receptive, and have a professional attitude.

You are development-oriented and see systematic quality work as a natural part of the assignment. You have the ability to plan, implement, document, and follow up on teaching based on the curriculum's goals. As a preschool teacher, you are responsible for ensuring that teaching is based on scientific grounds and proven experience.

We are looking for a pedagogue who inspires, challenges, and supports children in their learning and contributes to a positive and professional work climate. Together with the work team, you drive pedagogical development forward and work to ensure that every child gets the best conditions to develop and learn.

Employment Type

The position is a permanent employment with an initial probationary period of six months.
